Moved…Series Autumn 2014-Professional Workshop with Stephanie Skura

Autumn Moved Series 2014 – 20th-21st September in Coventry

Weekend Workshop: OPEN SOURCE FORMS

Stephanie Skura developed Open Source Forms (OSF) after 12 years working closely with SRT creator Joan Skinner as core faculty & teacher-trainer, & decades of radical performance practice. Fluidly expanded from Skinner Releasing Technique, OSF is about cross-fertilizations and deep commonalities of SRT and creative process: shedding outer layers, finding primal energy, agility navigating subconscious realms, and imagery as powerful tool for transformation. This work celebrates diversity, collaboration, and individual empowerment: free of inhibition, accessing intuition, and inviting the mind to collaborate. Taking time for depth of technique to catalyze creative work, these sessions offer tools to access freedom, specificity, and courage in movement, vocal practice and performance. With a progression of experiments in surprising pathways between conscious and subconscious, movement, writing, and voice, witnessing and participating. Sessions will include working with scores as a remarkable & fertile way to find content, method, & structure that’s unique for each idea. Bring paper and pens for writing and drawing.
